Sharktooth Island was an island off the coast of Alagaësia, near the city of Teirm. Its name came from its unique tooth-like shape. If you look carefully at the island, there is a small dot.

Beirland Island was the largest of five islands in an archipelago off of the Alagaësian coast, and the only one known to have a town, Eoam.

Nía Island was one of five islands in an archipelago near the coastline of Alagaësia, and was the smallest of the five. It lies adjacent to the larger Beirland Island. Between them, there existed the notorious Boar's Eye, a whirlpool about a few miles in diameter. The island was described as being only an outcropping of rock.

Illium Island was the second largest island in southern Alagaësia, and the farthest east.

Uden Island was one of five islands in an archipelago near the Alagaësia coastline, located in the center of them. It was the fourth largest island of the group.

Carvahall was a tiny village, home to around 200 people, located at the top of the Anora River in the northern part of The Spine in Palancar Valley. The village was the only settlement in the valley aside from Therinsford, and was rarely visited by anyone save for merchants and trappers. Most of the village was made up of stout log houses with low roofs and wide porches on their fronts for talking and conducting business.

Therinsford was a town southwest of Carvahall. Its buildings are scattered about, in no particular order.

Narda was a small and isolated trading city on Alagaësia's western coastline, mostly cut off from the rest of Alagaësia by the Spine.

Utgard Mountain is located in the Spine at the southernmost tip of Palancar Valley.

Yazuac was one of the many villages obliterated by the Empire during the Northern Massacres. It was completely wiped out by Urgals, held under control of the Empire by the Shade Durza.

Daret was a village in Alagaësia that was west of the Ninor River and south of Yazuac. It may have been destroyed during the Northern Massacres.

Fläm Lake was a lake in Alagaësia, nestled against the eastern side of The Spine. An Urgal Village resides alongside this lake.

Teirm was the Empire's primary port city. It was located in western Alagaësia, south of the Spine.

Woadark Lake was a lake in Alagaësia, nestled within The Spine. The Toark River flowed from it in both directions, east and west.

Kuasta was a city located in the Spine and on the coast south of Teirm. It was the birthplace of Brom.

Leona Lake, which lay directly west of Dras-Leona, was one of the largest lakes in Alagaësia. The Jiet River flowed out of the lake southward, while the Toark River flowed northward to Teirm. The two cities Belatona and Dras-Leona were close to Leona Lake.

Dras-Leona was a city located on the eastern shores of Leona Lake. It was located close to, and was home to the priests of, the rock formation known as Helgrind, lair of the Ra'zac.

Helgrind ("The Gates of Death" in the ancient language) was a four-peaked mountain near the city of Dras-Leona. It was an object of religious reverence to Dras-Leona's cult, and was also the home of the Ra'zac.

Dauth was a city southwest of Alagaësia in the western part of Surda.

Reavstone was a city on the coast of Surda, and the southernmost city in Alagaësia. It sat in the middle of a small peninsula off the coast of the Sea.

Aberon was the capital of Surda. It was the center of King Orrin's power and a symbol of free humanity.

Lithgow was one of the major cities in Surda for commerce as it was located northwest of Aberon amd southwest of Petrøvya.

Petrøvya was a city in Surda, located on its northern border. The city was located south of Tüdosten Lake.

Aroughs was a city in southern Alagaësia, near Feinster. It was the southernmost city in The Empire. It was also mentioned that a swamp upon which magic abounds freely is located near this port city. The natural magic is known only as "werelights".

Feinster was an Imperial port city wedged between Edur Carthugavë, or the tailbone of the Spine, the Jiet river and what appeared to be a wide bay.

Melian was a minor town in Alagaësia's southern Imperial territory.

Marna Mountain was a mountain not part of the mountain ranges of the Spine or the Beor Mountains and was not man-made like Utgard Mountain. It was closest to the Isenstar Lake.

Gil'ead was a city in the northern part of Alagaësia, under the control of the Empire. It used to be a major staging point for Galbatorix's Imperial Army with barracks, a fort, and some of the Empire's best security prisons.

Bullridge was a town located west of the Ramr River.

Urû'baen (Translation: the downfall of the wise) was the capital city of the Empire and the center of Galbatorix's kingdom. Urû'baen had been an elven city named Ilirea and then the capital of the Broddring Kingdom. Nasuada changed the name of the city back to Ilirea after the fall of Galbatorix.

Tüdosten Lake is a large lake whose south shore formed part of the border between the Empire and Surda. Furnost is situated above its northern shore while Petrøvya borders its southern shore. Silverwood Forest lies to the east of the lake.

The Hadarac Desert was a large desert in central Alagaësia. It was the only known desert on the continent.

The major agricultural city of Osilon was one of the major cities in the hidden nation of the elves, Du Weldenvarden and the westernmost elven city at the start of the Rider War.

Ellesméra was the capital of the elven kingdom and the residence of the Elven Queen, Arya . It has been protected by Gilderien since the time of Du Fyrn Skulblaka.

Kirtan was an elven city in Du Weldenvarden, situated south of Ellesméra.

Sílthrim was a major city in the hidden Elven nation of Du Weldenvarden, that was bordered by the Ardwen Lake. It was second only to Ellesméra in greatness.

Röna Lake was the northernmost lake known in Alagaësia, and was situated in the north-east of Du Weldenvarden.

Ardwen Lake was a lake that was bordered by the elven city Sílthrim and connected to the Gaena River. It was entirely hidden by the vast forests of Du Weldenvarden.

Ília Fëon was a major elven city west of Ceris that was also hidden by the forests of Du Weldenvarden. We know that 'Fëon' means 'Spring', but what 'Ília' means is uncertain at this point, so the translation of Ília Fëon means '____ Spring' or 'Spring _____'.

Ceris was a small, Elven settlement in the southeast of Du Weldenvarden, just west of the Edda River.

Dalgon was a city in the Beor Mountains, south of the Beartooth River.

Buragh was a dwarven city in the Beor Mountains. It was located northwest of Tarnag.

Tarnag was a dwarven city northwest of Farthen Dûr. It was built on a series of terraces carved out of the side of the mountain.

Farthen Dûr was a mountain in southeastern Alagaësia, in the center of the Beor Mountain range. Deep within Farthen Dûr lay the city of Tronjheim, the Dwarvish capital and long-time refuge of the Varden.
